Eyeworth Pond
A few images from Eyeworth Pond near Fritham in the New Forest , where a few Mandarin Ducks have taken up residence. Hoping to go back soon and try and add some more.
Cornwall 2020
All of these images were taken on a recent trip to Cornwall. I had my dSLR with me but on both days rain was forecast so I left it in the car. Instead, I used my camera phone and was very happy with the results (although each image has been enhanced a little in Lightroom).
Grey Seals - Norfolk
These images were taken on a two day trip to Winterton-on-Sea in Norfolk in December 2019. The weather on the first day was spectacular with the most wonderful light for most of the day.
Namibia
A trip to Namibia in 2018 was my first visit to Africa. We chose Namibia as it is less well visited than other countries that offer the safari experience. We were also fascinated by images we had seen of the Namib Desert and the Skeleton Coast. I'm please to say that the reality lived up to our expectations!
Falconry
A collection of images taken at various falconry centres in the UK including Forest Falconry and The Hawk Conservancy. The images attempt to capture the relationship between the falconer and their birds or an aspect of falconry such as birds being trained to hunt.
Owls
Of all birds, owls hold a particular fascination for me. This collection is comprised of images taken at a variety of falconry and bird of prey centres in the UK. Many of the images are also 'portraits' of owls, something you'll see replicated in my other bird of prey images. For me, a bird isn't only interesting if it's 'doing something', there's an intrinsic beauty in it just 'being'. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
Other Raptors
A mixture of captive and wild raptors, mostly as portraits, a style that I enjoy creating.
Kingfishers
A few images of an iconic bird.
'Scapes
A few landscapes and seascapes from the UK and further abroad. The Lone Tree at Llyn Padarn is probably one of he most photographed trees in North Wales but I don't think it detracts from it's appeal. At the other end of the world there are a few images from my first ever trip to Africa.
